Sagewood is an artisan style cafe situated on the banks of the Dorpspruit river in Pietermaritzburg. We serve the most gorgeous signature breakfasts, open sandwiches, salads pizzas and main courses. Our Baker’s Table is a fresh daily smorgasboard of pastries, cakes, tarts, breads and other delicious bites. Catering also to vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and banting diets, our ingredients are all mindfully and locally sourced, using only the freshest and best around. We source organic where possible and don’t use any preservatives, msg or other “funny stuff ” in our food. You can expect real “passion on a plate” when you visit Sagewood.
We offer a family-friendly setting with a fully equipped play area for the kids in a safe enclosed environment. With the Dorpspruit river on one side and the Blackwood’s Home of Gardening on the other, Sagewood is a peaceful oasis that is second to none.
