This vegetarian and vegan café is in a wonderful 100 year old wood and iron house, which was originally built along the old main line. Your hostess and chef is Gisel, who comes from a rich heritage of Mediterranean and French cuisine, which has been enriched by travels to China, India, Europe and America.
For carnivores who believe a vegetarian meal cannot taste good, this cafe is a must. She makes everything from scratch and uses the freshest of vegetables & fruit. Vegan & egg free cakes, vegan fruit jellies, compotes and purees, salads and stir fries, curries and tagines emerge from the Wild Green Kitchen, fresh from the kitchen to the table.
The café operates on the plat de jour principle. This means that as in France, the main dishes are what have been crafted on that particular day and so, no set menu.
Classes for Vegetarian Cuisine are held here. A little shop with crafted jewellery made from vintage and antique beads and various small handcrafted collectibles, makes waiting for lunch a pleasure !
Reservations only. Please call 1 to 2 hours ahead to reserve your place at the table and avoid disappointment.
