Where

The Craft Shop is small and packed with lovely things including beautiful hand painted cushion covers, stuffed fabric toys and jewelry.

This is a developmental project giving people skills and developing talent. It is the result of years of hard work by Dawn Lepan who rallied people, her family and organizations to assist. The craft shop provides entrepreneurial opportunities for those with talent. Proceeds are ploughed back into the community as well as benefiting the crafts person.

A trip to the 1000 Hills Community Helpers is well worthwhile. It is a hive of activity and has a really good feel about it. Besides the craft shop there is a well run, free clinic, a primary school with library and meals are provided on week days.

If you are there at the right time, you can join in and eat with everyone. It is not often that you get the opportunity to eat within the community. Main meal and pudding are for just R20. Please call ahead if there are more than 3 of you.Click on logo to see more
